MALIKAH a.k.a LIX songs

Lynn Fattouh aka MC Lix aka Malikah was born in Marseille, France in 1986. Raised in Beirut under the shadow of war, Malikah first hit the Lebanese hip hop scene at the tender age of 16, showing early signs of success, working with EMI Arabia in 2003 after winning a hip hop competition and appearing on the Lebanese television show - Zaven. Malikah raps in Arabic and English and has honed her skills as an RnB and dance vocalist. She regularly performs in Lebanon and has gone afar afield as Dubai, Poland, Switzerland, France and Canada to spit her rhymes.

Malikah has worked with most of Lebanon's hip hop producer and rapper talent and has actively collaborated with named local talent - Beirut Biloma, Cheb Mami, Hasna, Aks'ser and DJ Lethal Skillz.

She is featured on the upcoming epic debut album release of RGB called ‘Blacklisted’ and also in the upcoming album release of DJ/Producer Lethal Skillz called 'New World Disorder,' and is a member of the 961 Underground family - which includes LCI Entertainment signed RGB, and Siska - both members of the old school Lebanese hip hop group Kita3 Beirut and MC Moe, aka Gemini 7 of Mix FM fame. Malikah also features prominently in the feature-length documentary "961 Underground" produced by Phonomefodz.

In 2006, Malikah hooked up with her main producer, The MIGHTY THOR, based out of the Bronx, NYC, officially joining the The House of Representatives [T.H.O.R.] crew [includes The Might Thor, Boulevard, J-Ma, and Bravo] that same year.

In 2007, Malikah along with the newest member of the 961 Underground Family MC Zoog, was chosen by MTV Arabia as one of the two best emcees in Lebanon for the their flagship program, "Hip Hop Na/Our Hip Hop." Additionally, Malikah went into studio for a track with Dogg Pound’s [Snoop Doggy Dog, Nate Dogg] producer FREDWRECK for a track that will be featured on the upcoming release of MTV Arabia's HIPHOPNA album.

But 2008 was undoubtedly Malikah's break-out year. She helped cultivate her fan-base in Europe with another French-based Lebanese MC - La Gale - receiving rave reviews and strong audience responses at the Avatarium Festival (St. Etienne, France), the Moloko Festival (Geneva, Switzerland) and Le Bikini (Toulouse, France). She was featured on Beirut Biloma's hit single "I Wanna Dance in Beirut," and her single, "Buggin" is enjoying solid rotation on NRJ radio throughout the Arab world.

Also in 2008, Malikah became the first female emcee to host, judge (B-boys and freestyle battles) and perform at the Red Bull Lord of the Street contests in Beirut and Muscat, Oman.

Now the host of the Rotana Musika TV show "Shababiyat," Malikah is helping to expose the underground music scene in all genres’ - not just hip-hop.

Expect big things in 2009 as Malikah puts the final touches on her debut album release with producers FREDWRECK, MIGHTY THOR, UNDERGROUND PROCEDURES and Dj LETHAL SKILLZ, or watch her on just about every Arabic music TV channel in early 2009, appearing in the video clip for the single "Haydeh Khiyeneh" from RGB's debut album on the LCI Entertainment label.


Malikah described by Lynn as "the rough serious hardcore Arabic woman who raps about politics, religion and social issues" is balanced by her alter-ego MC Lix who she describes as "the feminine sexy lady who is more commercial
